Porting your phone number to Studiio is a 6-step process that can take up to four weeks depending on the type of number you are porting, and the country the number is located in.

  1. Phone number’s owner submits porting request (LOA) with documentation;

  2. Studiio verifies the porting request;

  3. Studiio submits porting request to our carrier;

  4. Our carrier submits porting request to the losing carrier;

  5. The losing carrier responds with an approval or a rejection;

  6. Studiio notifies phone number owner of Firm Order Commitment or porting date;

The process includes coordination between our carrier's upstream provider and your service provider to transfer the number to Studiio. We handle this on our end, so you can sit back, grab a cup of coffee and relax.

How much does it cost to port a phone number?

We charge a once-off $10 USD (or equivalent in your currency) fee to port-in a phone number. We will charge this to your default payment method upon successful port completion. A monthly fee may apply for the phone number depending on various factors, contact us for further information.

Can my ported phone number count towards my free numbers?

Yes! If you haven't rented a phone number yet and you have a free number slot, you can use your ported phone number! This means you will only pay the once-off port-in fee and no monthly number fee 🥳

Can I port-in a number for a specific use (e.g. SMS only)?

Once a number is ported-in to us, the number cannot be used by the losing carrier. This means you cannot use another carrier for voice, and Studiio for SMS. A phone number can only exist on one carrier at a time.

You can use Studiio for SMS and Voice though! Simply upgrade your plan to a voice enabled service to use your existing eligible number for both SMS and Voice.

How do I get started?

You will need the following:

Once the LOA is completed and you have verified that the information matches exactly what is against your current carrier, you can email the LOA form to us, or send it via live chat.

Once we confirm that we have submitted your request, expect the process to take 1-4 weeks from submission. We will reach out to you for any further information required.

Once our carrier has finished the request, they will come back with either an approval or rejection. We will communicate the outcome with you. An approval means the number will have a port-live date, which means you can begin using the number with our service from the port-live date.

Who will have control over my number?

You retain control over your number at all times. Our carriers (Plivo and Twilio) are simply holders of the number, you retain the ownership of the number at all times.

Can I port my number out of Studiio?

Yes, you sure can. Simply ask your new carrier to port-in the number from us. Contact us for any further information required.

I have further questions, how can I contact you?

You can talk to us via the live chat bubble, or email us! We will happily answer any questions you may have.
