How Messages Get Flagged

Any team member with reporting permissions can report an SMS/MMS message if it is deemed spam or inappropriate. These reported messages will then appear on the Moderation screen for a moderator's review.

How SMS Moderation Works

Understanding the Moderation Queue

The moderation queue displays the following information:

  • The sender's phone number and name

  • The message type (SMS or MMS)

  • The message content

  • Who reported it and when

  • The current status of the message

Moderator Actions

For each reported message, a moderator can take the following actions:

  • Restore — The message is removed from the moderation queue and remains visible in the inbox.

  • Block — The sender is blocked and their message is removed.

  • Dismiss — The report is acknowledged, but no action is taken, and the message remains visible.

Bulk Actions

You can select multiple messages at once and choose to restore, block, or dismiss them all simultaneously.

Filter Tabs

Use the available filter tabs to navigate through messages easily:

  • Reported (default — messages awaiting review)

  • Restored

  • Blocked

  • Dismissed

  • All
