The Studiio Dashboard
The Dashboard (dashboard.studiio.io) is the comprehensive management interface. It is used by station managers, producers, and admins to handle listener communications, view analytics, manage the schedule, configure settings, and access billing. Essentially, it is the backbone of your station's operations.
The Studio Panel
The Studio Panel (panel.studiio.io) serves a different purpose. It's a simplified interface designed for display in a broadcast studio during a live show (in a studio or similar). Presenters can view incoming messages across all channels, access the call screener, review current show information, and check noticeboard notices, alerts, and content. It's specifically built to support on-air use.
Real-Time Interaction
The Dashboard and Studio Panel work seamlessly together in real time. For instance, when a message arrives in the Dashboard's SMS inbox, it appears instantly in the Studio Panel. Similarly, a call answered in the screener is visible in both interfaces.
Setting Up a Studio Panel
To set up a Studio Panel, navigate to Station > Studio Panels in the Dashboard. Click to create a new panel, give it a name and description, then configure its layout. Each panel receives a unique URL at panel.studiio.io/view/{key}, which you share with your presenter or open on your studio computer.
Multiple Studio Panels
You can create multiple Studio Panels, such as one for each studio or a custom layout for each show. The Dashboard indicates how many users are currently connected to each panel, with updates every 30 seconds.
Typical Usage Pattern
Typically, the station manager utilizes the Dashboard for daily tasks, while the on-air presenter keeps the Studio Panel open in a browser on a screen in the studio during their show.
